Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1) carries out the organization, planning and direct management of territorial defense, as well as, within its competence, determines the activities and scope of tasks related to the preparation and conduct of territorial defense to central and local executive bodies, coordinates their actions;

2) directs the activities of central and local executive bodies in the field of territorial defense;

3) ensures the implementation of territorial defense measures;

4) approves the rules of preparation and conduct of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

5) approves the list of objects of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

6) performs other functions assigned to him by the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and acts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Territorial Defense dated June 30, 2025 No. 201-VIII SAM

This Law regulates public relations in the field of territorial defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
